I have been Editorial Director at MUP since 2010 and a part of the Editorial team since 2006. The MUP art and design history list is proud to host both the Rethinking Art’s Histories series and our long-running Studies in Design and Material Culture. We also welcome proposals for stand-alone titles that fit with our commissioning priorities: expanding the geographies of the discipline, offering new perspectives and voices, and addressing topics of current academic and/or wider interest. The other side of my commissioning involves trade books on history and culture. If you have a rigorously researched book idea that you think will land with a broad readership, a writing style to please both academic and non-academic audiences, and a clear sense of how your connections could work with ours to get the book out there, then please get in touch.
